Mercurial Musings

on books & life

It’s been a while since I’ve participated in a Bout of Books read a thon, and I thought this would be the perfect way to bring my summer to a close. So from August 13-19, I’ll be reading as many books as I can.  I’m keeping my goals pretty realistic this time, since this is going to be a busy week for me with a family wedding coming up on the 18th and some back-to-school meetings taking place. I’ll be updating this page & twitter with my progress throughout the week.
My Goal for the week: At least 7 books
When I’ll Be Reading: All week (minus Saturday, unless I can sneak in some reading after the wedding.)
Books to read: I have 5 I want to read (re-read in one case) this week:
God Save the Queen by Kate Locke
BZRK by Michael Grant
Unholy Night by Seth Grahame-Smith
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

Daily Updates:

This is where I’ll post my daily totals.
Monday: I finished reading “Between the Lines” by Jodi Picould & Samantha Van Leer (352 pages) and then re-read “Wake” by Amanda Hocking
Tuesday: Re-read “Enclave.” Having just finished reading Outpost, I had to go back and look at book one with all the new information. A big double review is pending closer to the time of Outpost’s release.

  1. Those look like good picks. I'm curious about Night Circus. I saw it on most of the blogs I follow when it was coming out. Good luck with your progress and have fun at the wedding next week!

  2. I love checking out all of the reading lists/piles. I have The Best Night of Your Pathetic Life on my wish list/ I just love that title. I hope that you meet your goals with your busy week and the wedding.
